    Product Description

Name: Ammonium Chloride, one kind of Potassium (K) fertilizer, which is commonly added to improve the yield and quality of plants growing in soils that are lacking an adequate supply of this essential nutrient. Most fertilizer K comes from ancient salt deposits located throughout the world. The word “potash” is a general term that most frequently refers to potassium chloride (KCl), but it also applies to all other K-containing fertilizers, such as potassium sulfate (K2SO4, commonly referred to as sulfate of potash, or SOP).

Ammonium chloride is an inorganic compound with the formula NH4Cl and a white crystalline salt that is highly soluble in water. It is mainly used as fertilizer and a flavouring agent in some types of liquorice. It is the product from the reaction of hydrochloric acid and ammonia.

    Application

White crystal powder or granule; odorless, taste with salt and cool. Easy agglomerating after moisture absorption, soluble in water, glycerol and ammonia, is insoluble in ethanol, acetone and ethyl, it distillates at 350 and was weak acid in aqueous solution. Of ferrous metals and other metals are corrosive, in particular, greater corrosion of copper, non-corrosive effect of pig iron.

Mainly used in mineral processing and tanning, agricultural fertilizers. It is Auxiliaries for dyeing, electroplating bath additives, metal welding co-solvent. Also used in making tin and zinc, medicine, system of candles, adhesives, chromizing, precision casting and manufacture of dry cells, batteries and other ammonium salts.

Ammonium chloride is a kind of important nitrogen fertilizer. It can increase the output of quite a number of crops, which has been showed by a large number of field experiments. In the tropical and subtropical regions, ammonium chloride shows better effectiveness than urea, ammonium sulfate and other nitrogen fertilizer.

Ammonium chloride is a combination of two necessary elements for plant growth -- nitrogen and chlorine. Both are naturally occurring in the atmosphere and soil, and providing the plants with an extra source helps them reach peak growth and health.

It is recommended for saline and alkaline soils. It is also a suitable Nitrogenous fertilizer for application in low-lying areas where paddy and other crops are cultivated by farmers. Chlorine present in Ammonium Chloride gives resistance to some pests and diseases from the soil.

Fertilizer-grade NH4Cl usually contains 25% N. ... Some of its advantages include a higher N concentration than (NH4)2SO4 and superiority over (NH4)2SO4 for rice. Ammonium chloride is an excellent source of both N and Cl- for coconut, oil palm, and kiwifruit, which are Cl responsive crops.

Used in dry cell, dying, tanning, electrical plating. Also used as welding and hardener in molding of Precision castings.

    1) Dry cell. used as electrolyte in zinc-carbon batteries.

    2) Metalwork.as a flux in preparing metals to be tin coated, galvanized or soldered.

    3) Other applications. Used to work on oil wells with clay swelling problems. Other uses include in hair shampoo, in the glue that bonds plywood, and in cleaning products.

In hair shampoo, it is used as a thickening agent in ammonium-based surfactant systems, such as ammonium lauryl sulfate. Ammonium chlorides used in the textile and leather industry in dyeing , tanning, textile printing and to luster cotton.

    application

    Storage

    1) Store in a cool, dry and ventilated house away from moisture

    2) Avoid handling or transporting together with acidic or alkaline substances

    3) Prevent the material from rain and insolation

    4) Load and unload carefully and protect from package damage

    5) In the event of a fire, use water, soil or carbon dioxide fire extinguishing media.
